MARKET OUTLOOK
After a day of fluctuation and tug-of-war, the VN-Index inched up by nearly 4 points compared to yesterday. Although the number of declining stocks exceeded the number of advancing ones, 11 out of 18 sectors still posted gains, indicating that capital flows were selectively rotating into specific stocks within each sector. The Personal & Household Goods and Industrial Goods & Services sectors led the market’s advance. Regarding foreign investor activity, they recorded net selling on the HSX and UPCoM exchanges and a slight net buying on HNX. The candlestick with a long upper shadow reflects the market’s attempt to break through the 1,700 level today, but it ultimately failed. The VN-Index will need a clear directional candlestick accompanied by supportive liquidity to decisively surpass the 1,700 threshold and establish a new recovery trend from this level.
