Introduction

Established in 2004, Ben Thanh Service Joint Stock Company (BTSC) is still considered a young company in its field with medium business scale. Ben Thanh Service Joint Stock Company (BTSC) was established under the name of Ben Thanh Trade and Service Company (BTS) following Decision No 14A/QD-TL-2003 dated Dec 04, 2003 of Ben Thanh Corporation (Sunimex) based on merging three units of the corporation: the Trade and Service Center, Sunimex Warehousing Service Station and Export Seafood Processing Factory.
In Oct 2004, Ben Thanh Food and Agricultural Products Company and a wood processing factory under Binh Chieu Industrial Zone Infrastructure Development Company were also merged into Ben Thanh Trade and Service Company.
On Aug 09, 2006, Ben Thanh Trade and Service Company began its equitization process under Decision No 3629/QD-UBND of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee.
On Nov 01, 2007, Ben Thanh Trade and Service Company was officially transformed into Ben Thanh Service Joint Stock Company under Decision No 3127/QD-UBND dated Jul 16, 2007 of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee. State-owned capital accounted for 45% o the company’s total capital.
As of Oct 04, 2007, the company’s charter capital was VND 10 billion.
On Mar 31, 2008, charter capital was adjusted to VND 30 billion via issuing shares to existing shareholders.
On Nov 03, 2010, the company was officially approved to list its shares on the Ha Noi Stock Exchange (stock code: BSC, listing volume: 3.000.000 shares). The first trading date was on Jan 05, 2011.
In Nov 2011, the company increased its charter capital to VND 31,5 billion via issuing shares for existing shareholders
