It mainly manufactures, markets, and distributes pharmaceutical products, drug materials and supplies, laboratory chemicals, and other healthcare equipments. The Company is also involved in production and merchandise of pharma-chemicals, purified water, and nutrition food, as well as distribution of cosmetics and other consumer chemicals. The precursor of Domesco Medical Import Export Joint Stock Corporation (DOMESCO) was Medical Material and Equipment Company, which was established in Jul 1985 according to Decision No 349/TCCB by the People’s Committee of Dong Thap province.
From 1985 to Jan 01, 2004, the company’s name was changed 6 times to suit its business operation.
In 2003, the company’s equitization plan was approved with the state’s controlling shares.
The company was renamed for the 7th time from Dong Thap - Domesco Medical Import Export Company to Domesco Medical Import Export Company in 2004. From Jan 01, 2004, DOMESCO officially came into operation according to Decision No 144/QD-UBTL dated Nov 27, 2003 by the People’s Committee of Dong Thap province and under business registration issued by the province’s Department of Planning and Investment. Its initial charter capital was VND 60.000.000.000.
In 2005, charter capital was adjusted to VND 137.699.990.000.
On Dec 25, 2006, the company’s shares were officially listed on Ho Chi Minh Securities Trading Center (now known as Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange) with stock code: DMC, and listed volume: 10.700.000 shares
In 2007, charter was adjusted to VND 137.699.990.000.
In 2009, charter capital was adjusted to VND 178.093.360.000.
On Feb 21, 2014, its charter capital was adjusted to VND 267.137.970.000 via issuing shares.
