In addition, it also engages in mining and civil construction as well as transport and hotel business. It is a subsidiary of Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group.

  • The precursor of Vinacomin - Minerals Holding Corporation (VIMICO) was Vietnam National Minerals Corporation which was found on the basis of the merger of Vietnam Rare and Precious Minerals Corporation and The Minerals Development Corporation.
  • On 18th February, 2003, according to the Decision of the Ministry of Industry, Vietnam Gold and Gemstone Corporation was integrated into Vietnam National Minerals Corporation.
  • Pursuant to Decision N0.345/2005/QD-TT-g dated 26th December, 2005 by the Prime Minister on the establishment of Vietnam Coal - Minerals Industries Group, according to which Vietnam National Minerals Corporation became Vinacomin - Minerals Holding Corporation - a subsidiary company of Vietnam Coal - Minerals Industries Group. Vinacomin - Minerals Holding Corporation operates according to the parent company - subsidiary company model.
  • On Oct 06, 2015, Vinacomin - Minerals Holding Corporation officially came into operation with the paid-up charter capital of VND 2.000 billion.
  • It completed its registration as a public company on Dec 28, 2015.
