Phong Phu Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (PP.Pharco) is a Vietnam-based company active in the pharmaceutical industry. The Company manufactures, imports and trades pharmaceutical products. Its products are distributed through 76 drug stores in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The Company is also involved in the manufacturing and trading of milk and its derived products, as well as bread, cake, chocolate, sweets, jam, pasta, noodles, tea, drinking water and non-alcoholic beverages. In addition, it manufactures functional food and trades cosmetic products. The Company is engaged in the provision of trucking services, bus services and car rental services as well.

The precursor of Phong Phu Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company is District 8 Pharmaceutical Store, which was established in Oct, 1975.
In Dec 1976, the store was merged with Pharmaceutical Company Grade II. All revenue from the store went to the company.
In Oct 1982, it was relocated to District 8 under the new name: District 8 Medical drug store. Following Decision No. 09/QD-UB dated Jan 25, 1983 of the People’s Committee of District 8, it was merged with District 8 Pharmaceutical Factory.
From 1986-1990, the company begun operating independently and invested in equipment/production technology.
In 1992, District 8 Pharmaceutical Company was established following Decision No. 338/HDBT of the Ministerial Council.
Following Decision No. 8030/QD-UB-KT of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee dated Dec 28, 1999, District 8 Pharmaceutical Company was converted from a state company to a joint stock company called Phong Phu Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company.
On May 12, 2007, its charter capital was adjusted from VND 2 billion to VND 22 billion.
On June 24, 2009, the company’s shares were officially listed on Up Com.
On June 27, 2009, its charter capital was adjusted to VND 23,355 billion.
From Jul 18, 2011, the company's shares were listed on the Ha Noi Stock Exchange.
On Apr 18, 2014, its charter capital was adjusted to VND 29.799.990.000.
On Aug 14, 2014, its charter capital was adjusted to VND 45 billlion.
