Introduction

Telecommunications Industry Electronics Joint Stock Company (TIE) is a Vietnam-based company engaged in the manufacture and trading of computer hardware, consumer electronic products and electrical products. It also trades telecommunications devices, industrial supplies, machinery, construction materials, crafts, processed seafood, beverages, tobaccos, petroleum and other consumer goods. In addition, the Company provides Internet services, inbound and outbound tourism services, hotel and restaurant services, passengers and goods transportation services, employment services and other value-added telecommunications services. Other activities comprise real estate operations and the provision of software design services.

  • The precursor of Telecommunications Industry Electronics Joint Stock Company was District 10 Trading and Import-Export Company, which was found in Sept, 1990.
  • In 1994, the company signed a joint venture contract with Samsung Electronics to set up Samsung Vina Joint Venture Company.
  • In 1995, it became a member of the Board of Director of Saigon Post and Telecommunications (SPT).
  • In 2000, it became the official distributor of Samsung monitors Synsmaster in Vietnam.
  • In 2003, it established the VNGT Center (Vietnam New Generation Telecom) Internet service provider (ISP) and Warranty Service Center for computer screen of Samsung Syncmater.
  • In 2004, it officially became Telecommunications Industry Electronics Joint Stock Company. As of Jul 13, 2004, its charter capital was VND 87.000.000.000.
  • On Jun 29, 2006, its charter capital was adjusted to VND 95.699.000.000.
  • On Dec 11, 2009, the company's shares were officially listed on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange.
