Introduction

Saigon - Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank is a Vietnam-based financial institution. The Bank is engaged in commercial banking business for individual and corporate clients. Its products for individual clients include personal loans, such as home mortgage loans, home improvement loans, mortgage swap, education loans for studying abroad, car loans and loan guarantees, as well as individual deposits, such as current accounts, savings accounts, time deposits, on-call deposits and deposit certificates. Its products for corporate clients comprise current accounts, business savings accounts, time deposits, trade financing, documentary discounting, corporate loans, payment guarantees and remittances.

  • Saigon – Hanoi Joint Stock Commercial Bank (SHB) was originally named as NhonAi Rural Joint Stock Commercial Bank which was established in 1993 according to license No.0041/NH/GP dated Nov 13, 1993 issued by Governor of State Bank of Vietnam  and officially went into operation on Dec 12, 1993.
  • The chartered capital of SHB in 2006 was VND 301.929.000.000 VND. SHB had a wide business network spreading over Can Tho City area and a part of Hau Giang province.
  • On Jan 20, 2006, the Governor of State Bank of Vietnam signed Decree No. 93/QD-NHNN about accepting the transformation of SHB operation model , from a rural joint stock commercial bank to a joint stock commercial bank.  
  • On Apr 20, 2009, the company’s shares were officially listed on the Ha Noi Stock Exchange.
  • According to its change in business registration certificate in Dec 2012, its new charter capital is  VND8,865,795,470,000. Factoring business and insurance agency were added to its business lines.
  • On Aug 06, 2015, its charter capital was adjusted to VND 9.485.944.610.000.
