BSC Brief | 02.11: VN-Index plunged over 30 points today

EQUITY MARKET

The VN-Index fell over 30 points (-1.77%) to close at 1,710.72. All 18 sectors declined, led by chemicals, media, and information technology. Foreign investors net sold on HOSE and UPCoM but net bought on HNX. Heavy selling pressure pushed the index below SMA10/SMA20 support, although late-session bottom-fishing demand helped narrow losses. The correction may extend toward key support at 1,678–1,690 points, where the October low converges with the lower Bollinger Band. A breakdown below this zone could trigger further declines toward 1,650–1,660 points, near the July low.

• Top negative contributors: VCB (-4.67), VPB (-2.90), BID (-2.25), GVR (-1.78), VHM (-1.70).

• Foreign investors were net sellers of VND -523.42 bn on HOSE, led by MBB (-181.71 bn), VCB (-155.15 bn), ACB (-117.47 bn), STB (-105.45 bn), FPT (-86.03 bn). This marks 7 consecutive sessions of net selling; year-to-date net selling on HOSE totals VND -122,429 bn.
• Foreign investors were net buyers of VND +71.01 bn on HNX and net sellers of VND -0.96 bn on UPCoM.
