Detailed report

Market commentary

EQUITY MARKET

VN-Index traded within a range of 1,736–1,754 today and closed at 1,740.73 points, up nearly 8 points from the previous session. Market breadth was relatively balanced, with 11 of 18 sectors advancing. Media gained nearly 3%, followed by Automobiles & Parts and Travel & Leisure. In contrast, Information Technology declined by more than 1%. Foreign investors were net sellers on HSX and HNX, while remaining net buyers on UPCOM. The long-shadow candlestick suggests that the recovery momentum has already started to lose steam after just one advancing session, reflecting continued cautious market sentiment. In the coming sessions, VN-Index needs to fully fill the gap at 1,738–1,747 to reinforce the recovery and increase the likelihood of a move toward the 1,775 level.
