Market outlook
Stock market: VN-Index maintained a struggling trend in most of the session but turned red at the end of the session. Investment cash flow exited the market when 6/19 industry groups gained points. The leading industry group in restraining the market's decline was Steel stocks (NKG, HSG, POM) which gained quite well during the session. Market breadth turned negative with a slight decrease in liquidity compared to the previous session. Meanwhile, foreign investors continued to be strong net sellers on both HNX and HSX. A slight correction when the market is close to touching the threshold of 1380 points can make VN-Index maintain the accumulation trend in the range of 1350-1380 in the short term before heading to the threshold of 1400 points.
Future contracts: Except for VN30F2203, all future contracts decreaed following VN30. Investors might consider selling for short-term contracts.
Covered warrants: In the trading session on August 17, 2021, majority of coverred warrants decreased following underlying securities. Trading value decreased.
