Market outlook
Stock market: In Norse mythology, Ragnarok is the fiercest battle of the gods, but it is probably only equal to the battle for controlling the VN-Index between buyers and sellers in today's session. During the whole trading day, every time the sellers made a move, the buyers countered, causing the index to shake continuously within a range of 16 points. It was fierce, but it turned out that VN-Index "went a long way to return", turned around and closed at the reference mark, up 5 points compared to that of yesterday. Market breadth skewed to the negative side with 9 out of 19 sectors gaining, in which banking, real estate and construction stocks had a rather positive session today. Regarding the transactions of foreign investors, today they were net buyers on the HSX and net sellers on the HNX. Closing above the 1,490 resistance is positive for the VN-Index. The index is likely to continue to accumulate around this resistance in the short term, before gathering enough strength to bounce back to 1,500.
Future contracts: Futures contracts simultaneously gained points in line with the movement of the VN30 index. Investors should watch for short-term selling in the coming sessions.
Covered warrants: In the trading session on December 28, 2021, most warrants differentiated according to the movement of the underlying stock.
