Market outlook

Stock market: The market had a peaceful session today. After a day of fluctuating within a range of 10 points, VN-Index closed at 1170, a slight increase of 4 points compared to yesterday. Market breadth tilted to the positive side with 16/19 sectors gaining, in which the biggest gain was the Financial Services industry. Regarding the transactions of foreign investors, today they were net sellers on both HSX and HNX. In the coming sessions, the VN-Index may continue to fill the gap 1170-1180. If it can not successfully fill the gap, the index might drop to 1100.

Future contracts: The futures contracts mostly dropped according to the movement of the VN30 index. It is recommended that investors consider short-term trading during the session.

Covered warrants: In the trading session on July 8, 2022, warrants decreased according to the movement of the underlying stock.

Highlights:

VN-Index 4.83 points, closing at 1171.31 points. HNX-Index 5.94 points, closing at 277.8 points.
Pulling the index up: HPG (+1.05), GAS (+0.73), MSN(+0.69), GVR (+0.46), HVN (+0.40).
Pulling the index down: VCB (-1.74), BID (-1.58), CTG (-0.47), VPB (-0.33), TCB (-0.22).
The matched value of VN-Index reached VND 9,349 billion, up 20.49% compared to the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 10,424 billion.
The trading range is 12.91 points. The market had 325 advancers, 62 reference stocks and 130 losers.
Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -399.85 billion on HOSE, including DXG (VND -102.34 billion), SSI (VND -86.64 billion), VND (VND -76.54 billion). Foreign investors were net sellers on HNX with the value of VND -13.97 billion.
