BSC Brief | 26.10: VN-Index recovery momentum stalls at the resistance zone

EQUITY MARKET

VN-Index traded within a range of 1,762–1,782 today and closed at 1,763.55 points, down more than 10 points from the previous session. Market breadth was negative, with 13 of 18 sectors declining. Industrial Goods & Services and Information Technology posted the steepest losses. In contrast, Utilities gained more than 1%, followed by Oil & Gas. Foreign investors were net sellers across HSX, HNX and were net buyers on UPCOM. After three consecutive recovery sessions, the upward momentum stalled, with VN-Index failing to fully fill the gap at 1,768–1,778. Current market movements suggest that the index is still fluctuating around this sensitive resistance zone, and volatility may remain elevated in the near term.
