Stock market: Investors still seemed to be hesitant when facing 1200. After approaching this level in the first half of the morning, the VN-Index encountered the selling force and went down to 1185 before struggling around 1185- 1190. At the end of the session, the index closed at 1188.5 points, down more than 6 points compared to the previous session. Market breadth skewed to the negative side with 16 out of 19 sectors dropping; sectors such as Chemical, Oil & Gas, Retail, Utilities all had a less active session. Regarding the transactions of foreign investors, today they net bought on the HSX and net sold on the HNX. Currently, VN-Index is tending to retest SMA 20 corresponding to 1185. In the short term, the market may continue to accumulate in the 1185-1200 range.

 

Future contracts: Futures contracts all decreased in line with the movement of the VN30 index. Investors are recommended to consider shorting futures contracts in the coming sessions.

 

Covered warrants: In the trading session on July 25, 2022, warrants decreased according to the movement of the underlying stock.

 

• VN-Index -6.26 points, closing at 1188.50 points. HNX-Index -3.46 points, closing at 285.38 points.

• Pulling the index up: VIC (+0.78), VNM (+0.48), VCB(+0.48), BCM (+0.35), VHM (+0.22).

• Pulling the index down:  GAS (-1.46), GVR (-0.69), VPB (-0.55), MWG (-0.43), HPG (-0.43).

• The matched value of VN-Index reached VND 8,760 billion, down 21.16% compared to the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 9,928 billion.

• The trading range is 13.84 points. The market had 127 advancers, 72 reference stocks and 321 losers.

• Foreign investors' net buying value: VND 154.88 billion on HOSE, including FPT (VND 83.27 billion), UIC (VND 68 billion), DXG (VND 21.96 billion). Foreign investors were net sellers on HNX with the value of VND -5.93 billion.
