Market outlook

Stock market: Another Doji candle today showed investors' hesitation when facing the resistance level of 1,250. the VN-Index struggled around this area throughout today's session. While Securities stocks had a positive session, Banking stocks were the main reason holding the VN-Index back today. Market breadth was quite balanced with 11 out of 19 sectors gaining. Regarding the transactions of foreign investors, today they were net sellers on both HSX and HNX. In the short term, the market may continue to accumulate around 1,250 to gain momentum to reach the range 1,260-1,280.

Future contracts: The futures contracts mostly dropped according to the movement of the VN30 index. It is recommended that investors consider short-term trading during the session.

Covered warrants: In the trading session on August 5, 2022, warrants moved in accordance with the struggled movement of the underlying stock.

Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -291.27 billion on HOSE, including HPG (-453.25 billion), AGG (-186.93 billion), MSN (-66.23 billion). Foreign investors were net sellers on HNX with the value of VND -2.17 billion.
