Market outlook
During the process of approaching the 1,300 threshold, the VN-Index faced profit-taking pressure, pushing it down to close at 1,285.94 points today, a decrease of nearly 8 points compared to the previous session. Market breadth leaned toward negativity, with 16/18 sectors experiencing declines. The Information Technology sector led the downward trend, followed by Retail, Insurance, and Chemicals. Conversely, the Automobile & Auto Parts and Oil & Gas sectors had relatively positive trading sessions. In terms of foreign trading, net selling by foreign investors on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HSX) exceeded 1,000 billion VND today. The struggle around the 1,285 level may continue in the short term.
