Market outlook
The VN-Index continued to hover around the 1,270-point level today, closing at 1,273.84 points, maintaining a sideways movement. Market breadth tilted towards the positive, with 14 out of 18 sectors posting gains, led by strong performances in the Media, Tourism, and Entertainment sectors. However, modest increases in other sectors limited the overall rise of the VN-Index. Regarding foreign trading, net selling was observed on both the HSX and HNX exchanges today. The market may consolidate at this level over the next few sessions to build momentum for a breakout. However, if the consolidation phase lasts too long, market sentiment could shift negatively. Investors are advised to trade cautiously at this psychological threshold.
