Buying demand at 1,300 is significant

MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index continued to fluctuate today, closing at 1,305.36 points, down slightly by more than 2 points from yesterday. Market breadth leaned negative, with 11 out of 18 sectors declining, notably the Basic Resources sector, which corrected after a strong gain in the previous session. On the other hand, the Chemicals, Oil & Gas, and Communication sectors posted the best gains. In terms of foreign trading, foreign investors were net sellers on both the HSX and HNX exchanges today. The bottom-fishing demand around the 1,300 level remained strong, as the VN-Index consistently fluctuated above this threshold. We maintain our view that the VN-Index could return to the 1,315 level.

• The trading range is 8.11 points. The market had 193 gainers, 85 remaining unchanged, 265 losers.
• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -985.18 billion on HOSE, including HPG (VND -115.84 billion), TPB (VND -102.05 billion), VHM (VND -99.35 billion), MSN (VND -76.52 billion), VCB (VND -60.47 billion). Foreign investors were net sellers on HNX with the value of VND -62.23 billion.
