BSC Brief | 25.07: VN-Index breaks above 2022 peak

MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index continued to rise by over 10 points today, closing at 1,531.13. Market breadth remained positive, with 14 out of 18 sectors gaining, led by Financial Services, followed by Industrial Goods & Services. On the other hand, the declining sectors posted only minor losses. In terms of foreign trading, net selling was recorded on the HSX and UPCOM, while net buying occurred on the HNX. Today’s closing session marked a breakout above the previous peak from early 2022. In the coming sessions, the VN-Index may continue its upward momentum toward new highs.

• Pulling the index up: VHM (+1.65), VJC (+1.06), VPB (+1.04), SSI (+0.97), GEX (+0.78).
• Pulling the index down: VIC (-1.68), GVR (-0.41), VNM (-0.24), GAS (-0.22), VCB (-0.19).
• The matched trade value of VN-Index reached VND 35,937 billion, increased 5.22% compared to the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 37,441 billion.
• The trading range is 14.72 points. The market had 207 gainers, 39 remaining unchanged, 126 losers.
• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -63.35 billion on HOSE, including HPG (VND -456.99 billion), FPT (VND -222.42 billion), MSN (VND -124.98 billion), VHC (VND -112.79 billion), VCB (VND -96.19 billion). Foreign investors were net buyers on HNX with the value of VND 20.05 billion.
