BSC Brief | 21.10: VN-Index rebounds strongly as market breadth improves

EQUITY MARKET

VN-Index surged nearly 47 points today to close at 1,738.67. Market breadth was positive, with 14 of 18 sectors advancing. Real Estate led the gains, rising more than 6% on strong contributions from the Vin group stocks. Financial Services, Travel & Leisure, and Industrial Goods & Services also gained more than 2%. Foreign investors were net buyers on HSX and net sellers on the other two exchanges. A key positive was the clear improvement in liquidity, accompanied by broader participation across sectors. The recovery momentum may continue in the near term; however, it remains important to monitor whether capital flows can sustain their current strength in the coming sessions.

• Foreign investors were net buyers of VND +189.85 bn on HOSE, led by TCB (+289.80 bn), MSN (+144.76 bn), VIC (+89.16 bn), VIB (+51.49 bn), SSI (+49.91 bn). This marks 1 consecutive sessions of net buying; year-to-date net selling on HOSE totals VND -119,075 bn.
• Foreign investors were net sellers of VND -31.41 bn on HNX and net buyers of VND +1.11 bn on UPCoM.
