BSC Brief | 18.09: The sideways trend has not ended yet

MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index continued to close down by nearly 6 points today. Market breadth leaned negative with 11 out of 18 sectors declining, led by Information Technology, followed by Insurance and Oil & Gas. In terms of foreign trading, net selling was recorded across all three exchanges: HSX, HNX, and UPCOM. The SMA10 and SMA20 are still providing fairly solid support for the market. The sideways trend shows no signs of ending yet. A notable event for tomorrow: September 19 is expected to mark the completion date of ETF portfolio rebalancing.

• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -1512.46 billion on HOSE, including VIC (VND -212.85 billion), VHM (VND -132.03 billion), SSI (VND -123.43 billion), VIX (VND -121.45 billion), MSN (VND -89.24 billion). Foreign investors were net sellers on HNX with the value of VND -98.62 billion.
