BSC Brief | 16.10: VN-Index in accumulation phase

MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index moved sideways within the 1,750–1,770 range throughout the day before closing at 1,766.85, up nearly 9 points from yesterday. Market breadth was positive with 13 out of 18 sectors advancing, led by the Personal & Household Goods sector, followed by the Industrial Goods & Services sector. Regarding foreign investors’ activity, they were net buyers on HSX and UPCOM, while net sellers on HNX. The market is showing signs of narrowing its trading range and forming a price base around the 1,765 level. This pattern may continue over the next few sessions.

FUTURES CONTRACTS
All futures contracts declined, moving in the opposite direction of the VN30 index.

During the trading session on 16/10/2025, warrants fluctuated according to the struggling movement of the underlying stocks.

• Pulling the index up: VIC (+3.24), MSN (+2.11), VJC (+1.49), GEE (+1.03), VRE (+0.80).
• Pulling the index down: VHM (-1.84), CTG (-1.20), VPB (-0.89), VPL (-0.64), GVR (-0.23).
• The matched trade value of VN-Index reached VND 34,974 billion, decreased -1.49% compared to the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 40,372 billion.
• The trading range is 14.95 points. The market had 180 gainers, 57 remaining unchanged, 129 losers.
• Foreign investors' net buying value: VND 544.61 billion on HOSE, including NLG (VND 298.79 billion), DXG (VND 244.99 billion), GEX (VND 199.64 billion), VIX (VND 128.77 billion), VIC (VND 87.18 billion). Foreign investors were net sellers on HNX with the value of VND -132.05 billion.
