Highlights
• The world stock market continued to fall sharply causing the market to open with strong sell. However, the afternoon trading session was active that gain increase momentum for indexes.
• The leaders were VNM (+1.75 points), VPB (+1.48 points), GAS (+0.7 points), VIC (+0.48 points) and VCB (+0.39 points).
• The laggards were SAB (-0.94 points), NVL (-0.59 points), HPG (-0.22 points), HDB (-0.14 points) and VRE (- 0.14 points).
• Group stocks of Banking, Securities corrected together which made the index plummeted. However, the capital flow shifted into Real estate stocks - Construction that pulled the market up strongly.
• The order matching value of VN-Index in this session reached VND 5,837 billion. The daily trading range was 18.75 points. Market breadth was positive with 148 advancers and 126 decliners.
• At the end of today session, VN-Index gained 5.42 points, closing at 1,121.21 points. In addition, the HNX-Index fell 1.15 points to 128.25 points.
• Foreign investors today were net sellers of VND 127.37 billion worth of shares in VIC (VND 53.6 billion), VCB (VND 27.2 billion) and KBC (VND 25.8 billion). In addition, they bought a net of VND 17.2 billion on the HNX.
 

Market Outlook
The world stock market continued to decline sharply which has impacted partly on the Vietnamese market, causing negative trading in the morning session. Petroleum stocks were not actively traded as global oil prices continue to fall. Banking stocks have corrected but recovered in the session. Particularly, money flow focused on Real estate stocks, Construction such as DXG, DIG, SCR, LDG together with the large cap stocks increased again pulled the market recovery strongly. BSC believed that the market is still in the short-term accumulation phase and there is no clear trend. In addition, the FTSE will release their portfolio today may affect the market in the next trading session.
