• Right at the opening of the morning session, selling pressure made VN-Index lose 23 points. However, the pair VIC and VRE together with the rising Petroleum group had supported the index, enabling a slight increase of 3 points when the market closed.
• The leaders were VIC (+3.66 points), GAS (+2.86 points), VRE (+1.73 points), BID (+1.62 points), BVH (+0.99 points).
• The laggards were VNM (-1.27 points), PLX (-1.22 points), CTG (-1.15 points), HDB (-0.57 points), ROS (-0.57 points).
• The price movement of stocks showed the opposition and intertwine. While some Banking and Securities stocks fell sharply, Petroleum sector saw positive movements with an almost 2% increase.
• The order matching value of VN-Index in today session reached VND 5,622 billion. The range was at 36.21 points today. The market recorded 107 gainers and 170 losers.
• Ending the trading session today, VN-Index gained 3.96 points, closing at 1,080.74 points. With similar movements, the HNX-Index gained slightly 0.16 points, reaching 126.30 points.
• Foreign investors today were net sellers of VND 617.49 billion on HOSE, concentrated in VIC (536.9 billion), VJC (148.9 billion) and HPG (75.8 billion). Conversely, they net bought VND 24.2 billion on the HNX.
 

Market Outlook
Continuing of negative psychology from yesterday, VN-Index quickly dropped 23 points in morning session. Bottom-locking demand of the leading stocks prevented the market from falling further. But investor sentiment had only become more optimistic as VIC and VRE are in very positive trend. This signal was spread to other stocks, which helped the index turn into green. Although closing at a slight increase of 3 points, within the large stocks group there was a combination of increasing and decreasing movements. With market movements had decreased 20% since the peak and market trend has not been clearly determined, investors should still maintain margin and only disburse a small portion when stock prices are in the attractive areas.
