BSC Brief | 18.12: The market is seeking an equilibrium

MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index traded in a narrow range of 1,665–1,677 and closed at 1,676.98 points, edging up by just over 3 points compared to the previous session. Market breadth was relatively balanced, with 8 out of 18 sectors gaining, led by the Media sector, which rose more than 6%. Capital flows continued to rotate across sectors in search of short-term profits. Regarding foreign trading activity, foreign investors recorded net selling across all three exchanges: HSX, HNX, and UPCOM. At present, the VN-Index is seeking an equilibrium around the 1,675 level, and this consolidation may persist for a few more sessions before a short-term bottom is formed.

• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -878.39 billion on HOSE, including DXS (VND -451.54 billion), VIC (VND -330.77 billion), FPT (VND -94.90 billion), HDB (VND -86.19 billion), DGC (VND -66.69 billion). Foreign investors were net sellers on HNX with the value of VND -17.79 billion.
