Highlights
• VN-Index fluctuated and decreased slightly in the morning session, recovering and kept slight decline in the afternoon session.
• The leaders were VNM (+0.82 points); CTG (+0.76 points); MWG (+0.45 points); VPB (+0.38 points); TCB (+0.33 points)
• The laggards VHM (-2.95 points); NVL (-1.28 points); MSN (-0.54 points); BID (-0.21 points); PLX (-0.20 points)
• Cash flow focused on commercial and plastic stocks, liquidity rose strongly.
• The trading value of VN-Index in today session reached 7872.1 billion. The trading range was 8.71 points. The market recorded 127 gainers and 167 decliners.
• By the ending of the session, VN-Index decreased 1.77 points, closing at 1002.97 points. However, HNX-Index increased 0.74 points to 115.8 points.
• Foreign investors today net sold 781.51 billion on HOSE, focusing on VIC (70.87 billion), KDC (60.94 billion) and PLX (41.93 billion). They also net sold 7.88 billion on HNX.
Market outlook
VN-Index fluctuated and decreased slightly in the morning session. In the afternoon session, the index recovered and got a slight increase as cash flow poured into the banking stocks such as CTG, VCB, VPB. MBB, STB, TCB and HPG, VNM, MWG. However, the strong selling force of foreign investors in the afternoon session at ATC pushed the index down and closed at 1002.97 points. In view of the BSC, the market in the short-term correction phase and ETF funds and foreign investors are in the restructuring phase of the portfolio. Investors should monitor world's macroeconomic news and the market reactions, especially the event that the United States taxed 200 billion Chinese goods early next week.
