BSC Brief | 07.11: VN-Index returns to around 1,600 points

MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index declined right after the morning session opened. After fluctuating within the 1,620–1,630 range, the index continued to fall and closed at 1,599.10 points, down nearly 44 points compared to yesterday. Market breadth was negative, with 16 out of 18 sectors declining — led by Real Estate and Retail. On the other hand, Information Technology and Utilities posted slight gains. Regarding foreign investor activity, there was net selling on the HSX and UPCOM exchanges, while net buying occurred on HNX. The market has lost the support level around 1,625 and is showing intense tug-of-war movements around 1,600 points between buyers and sellers. Liquidity today was moderate; in a positive scenario, the VN-Index could form a short-term bottom around 1,600 and rebound from this level.

• Pulling the index up: GAS (+0.45), FPT (+0.32), NAB (+0.04), SHI (+0.03), KDC (+0.03).
• Pulling the index down: VIC (-7.02), VHM (-6.12), CTG (-2.51), VCB (-1.91), VPB (-1.78).
• The matched trade value of VN-Index reached VND 23,780 billion, increased 40.31% compared to the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 24,633 billion.
• The trading range is 43.25 points. The market had 59 gainers, 37 remaining unchanged, 270 losers.
• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -1311.39 billion on HOSE, including STB (VND -298.01 billion), HDB (VND -166.37 billion), MBB (VND -112.87 billion), SSI (VND -105.84 billion), VCB (VND -99.60 billion). Foreign investors were net buyers on HNX with the value of VND 41.17 billion.
