Highlights
• VN-Index gained in the morning session, in the afternoon, the increasing trend was widened.
• Stocks contributed to VN-Index upward momentum including VCB (+2.46 points); VHM (+1.91 points); VIC (+1.69 points); BID (+1.29 points); SAB (+0.56 points).
• Stocks made the market decline including HVN (-0.66 points); PPC (-0.18 points); HNG (-0.17 points); PLX (-0.10 points); POW (-0.06 points).
• The matching value of VN-Index today reached VND 3,330.5 billion, up 24.4% compared to the yesterday session. Today's trading range is 7.06 points. The market has 156 gainers and 146 losers.
• At the end of today's trading session, VN-Index increased 9.58 points, closing at 982.11 points. At the same time, HNX-Index increased 0.23 points to 105.85 points.
• Foreign investors today net bought 456.62  billion on HOSE, focusing on PLX (112.73 billion), VIC (96.61 billion) and VCB (87.68 billion). At the same time, they also bought a net of VND 2.49 billion on the HNX.

Market outlook 
In the morning session, VN-Index fluctuated and increased slightly thanks to the pull of blue-chips such as VCB, VHM, VIC, MSN, BID, MWG. In the afternoon, the gaining trend not only focused on blue-chips like VIC, VRE, VHM, etc. but also spread to many sectors, helped the market closed at 982.11 points, up 9.58 points compared to yesterday. Good market liquidity and strong net buying from foreign investors on all 3 exchanges are also factors supporting investor sentiment. From BSC's point of view, today's positive movements are mainly driven by the newly released Q2/2019 business results of listed companies and expectations of Fed rate cuts at the end of this month. The gaining momentum along with the strong recovery is showing a positive signal when the cash flow is returning to the market. VN-Index may surpass the psychological resistance of 985 points in the next sessions.
