Market outlook 
In the morning, oil prices increased sharply when the Middle East tensions had new negative developments, which supported the rise of Oil & Gas sector with stocks such as GAS, PLX, PVD, and PVS. This is also a factor supporting VN-Index in most of the trading time. However, in the afternoon, the strong divergence of banking stocks caused the index to drop below the reference level in ATC session. The market generally got better with trading as the liquidity increased slightly and foreign investors returned to be net buyers on the HSX. The index is forming a strong support level around 960 points and might challenge higher resistant level next week.

Future contracts: All future contracts decreased following VN30. Investors should prioritize selling and buying back with target price around 875 points for short-term contracts.
Covered warrants: In the trading session on Jannuary 03, 2019, both coverred warrants and underlying securities diverged in term of price. Trading volume increased strongly.

• The trading band is 5.74 points. The market saw 172 gainers, 45 reference codes and 173 losers.
• Foreign investors' net buying value: VND 153.21 billion on HOSE, including HPG (VND 120.21 billion), VNM (VND 38.05 billion) and VRE (VND 37.29 billion). Foreigners were net sellers on the HNX with a value of 7.57 billion dong.
