Stock market: Consolidated trend continued in today session when the market was moving sideways around 1,168 points. Cash flow flew into some specific sectors when only 12/19 sector increased. Liquidity increased slightly from the previous session and market breadth was positive, showing that investment cash flow is spreading into Midcap group in today session. Foreigners were net sellers on both HSX and HNX. With the trend of domestic cash flow flowing into Mid-cap group and foreign investors continuing to be net sellers, VN-Index is likely to consolidate in the range of 1,160-1,200 points in the coming sessions.

 

 

Future contracts: All future contracts decreased following VN30. Investors might consider selling for short-term contracts.

 

Covered warrants: In the trading session on March 8, 2021, majority of coverred warrants decreased following underlying securities. Trading value decreased strongly.

• VN-Index -0.42 points to close 1,168.27 points. HNX-Index +3.62 points, to close at 263.42 points.

• Pulling the index up: GAS (+1.28), POW (+0.44), NVL (+0.40), GVR (+0.37), KBC (+0.29)

• Pulling the index down: VCB (-1.19), VHM (-1.07), MSN (-0.56), VNM (-0.45), ACB (-0.38).

• The matched value of VN-Index reached VND 14,416 billion, + 3.9% from the previous session. The total trading value reached VND 15,463 billion.

• The fluctuation range was 17.23 points, wider than the previous session. There were 274 gainers, 56 reference stocks and 183 losers.

• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -1,250.90 billion on HOSE, including POW (VND -212.8 billion), VNM (VND -203.9 billion) and HPG (VND -171.5 billion). Foreigners were net sellers on the HNX with the value of VND -9.56 billion.
