20210324_BSC_Vietnam Daily Review_EN_ A strong correction session _TA_ SSN_Breakout

Stock market: The market corrected strongly to 1160 points after yesterday's consolidated session. The first cash flow exited the market when only 2 out of 19 sectors gained. Liquidity increased slightly and market breadth was negative indicating that short-term profit-taking pressure increased sharply today. Foreign investors continued to be net sellers on the HSX and net buyers on the HNX. A positive news for the market is that more than VND 8,000 billion from Fubon FTSE fund is about to flow into Vietnam when investors buy up all this fund’s certificates. This new cash flow is likely to flow into VN30 stocks and create support for the market at 1160 points. With new cash flow from foreign investors in the coming time, VN-Index is likely to consolidate in the 1160-1180 zone in the coming sessions.

 

Future contracts: All future contracts decreased following VN30. Investors might consider buying with target price around 1200 points for long-term contracts.  

 

Covered warrants: In the trading session on March 24, 2021, majority of coverred warrants decreased following underlying securities. Trading value decreased.

• VN-Index -21.64 points, to close 1,161.81 points. HNX-Index -3.65 points, closing 268.89 points.

• Pulling the index up: VIC (+1.26), MSB (+0.16), FLC (+0.12), TCM (+0.10), VCG (+0.04)

• Dragging the index down: BID (-1.66), CTG (-1.34), VHM (-1.34), GVRF (-1.28), VCB (-1.09).

• The matched value of VN-Index reached VND 14,827 billion, + 5.6% from the previous session. The total trading value reached 17,649 billion dong.

• The fluctuation range is 19.98 points, widening from the previous session. There were 75 advancers, 26 reference codes and 408 decliners.

• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -364.13 billion on HOSE, including KBC (VND -150.7 billion), POW (VND -81.2 billion), and HPG (VND -55.4 billion). Foreigners were net buyers on the HNX with the value of VND 9.73 billion.
