Market outlook  

Stock market: The market traded sideways in the September futures contract expiration session. Investment cash flow narrowed in some sectors as only 11/19 groups gained with the growth spearheads from Communications, Electricity, Water, and Petroleum and Banking. Market breadth remained positive with liquidity unchanged from the previous session. Meanwhile, foreign investors were net sellers on both HSX and HNX. Low liquidity along with narrow market range shows that investors are trading cautiously. With such a trend, VN-Index may continue to consolidate around 1350 points in the next trading sessions.

Future contracts: Except for VN30F2110, all future contracts increased following VN30. Investors might consider buying for long-term contracts.

Covered warrants:  In the trading session on September 16, 2021, majority of coverred warrants increased following underlying securities. Trading value increased slightly.

• Pulling the index up: MSN (+1.58); VCB (+1.02); VRE(+0.92); VPB(+0.74); TCB(+0.67)

• Pulling the index down: VIC (-3.33); VHM(-1.65); SAB(-0.88); HVN (-0.50); HPG (-0.37).

• The matched value of VN-Index reached VND 16,765 billion, -1.9% compared to the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 18,203 billion.

• The fluctuation range is 11.79 points. The market had 212 gainers, 55 unchanged and 187 losers.

• Foreign net selling value: VND -1326.03 billion on HOSE, including VIC (VND -1.144 billion), DGW (VND -83.0 billion) and DGC (VND -43.2 billion). Foreign investors were net sellers on HNX at VND -2.08 billion.
