Market outlook

Stock market: VN-Index opened the session with upward momentum; however, this momentum gradually slowed down towards the end of the morning session and finally, VN-Index corrected in the afternoon and closed almost unchanged compared to yesterday session. Market breadth was quite balanced with 10 out of 19 sectors gaining, in which the strongest gain came from the Telecommunications sector. Regarding the transactions of foreign investors, today they net sold on the HSX and net bought on the HNX. The market movement formed a Doji candle again, showing that the investor' indecisiveness at the 1240 level. In the next sessions, the market may continue consolidating around this level.

Future contracts: Futures contracts: Most futures contracts dropped slightly in line with the movement of the VN30 index. Investors should trade short and close positions during the session.

Covered warrants: In the trading session on May 20, 2022, warrants decreased slightly according to the movement of the underlying stock.

Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -423.46 billion on HOSE, including HPG (VND -165.75 billion), SSI (VND -137.52 billion), VIC (VND (-71.96 billion). Foreign investors were net buyers on HNX with the value of VND 1.95 billion.
