20240716_BSC_Vietnam Daily Review_VN_Selling pressure appeared

Losing the morning session's momentum, VN-Index closed at 1,281.18 points, falling back to near the reference level and up 1.36 points compared to the previous session. Market breadth tilted to the negative side with 12/18 sectors losing points, of which Healthcare and Media were the two sectors leading the increase. On the contrary, Tourism & Entertainment and Oil & Gas were the two sectors with the lowest performance.Regarding foreign transactions, today saw net selling on both HSX and HNX exchanges.With the trading results in the afternoon session, it can be seen that selling pressure is increasing at the price range of 1,288 points. Currently, the market is showing resistance at the 1,300 threshold, investors should trade cautiously in the coming sessions.

 

Futures contracts all decreased according to the movement of VN30, VN30F2408 fluctuated in opposite directions.

 

During the trading session on 16/07/2024, warrants fluctuated according to the struggling movement of the underlying stocks.

 

• VN-Index +1.36 points, closing at 1281.18 points. HNX-Index +0.07 points, closing at 244.91 points.

• Pulling the index up: BID (+0.84), MBB (+0.66), VCB (+0.55), CTG (+0.53), FPT (+0.47).

• Pulling the index down: HVN (-1.18), GVR (-0.29), VIC (-0.28), PLX (-0.27), NVL (-0.27).

• The matched trade value of VN-Index reached VND 15,349 billion, increased 35.97% compared to the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 16,380 billion.

• The trading range is 12.1 points. The market had 211 gainers, 89 remaining unchanged, 215 losers.

• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -236.44 billion on HOSE, including MWG (VND -148.05 billion), MSN (VND -81.66 billion), TCB (VND -69.63 billion), VND (VND -51.38 billion), NVL (VND -45.65 billion). Foreign investors were net sellers on HNX with the value of VND -13.76 billion.
