The VN-Index rises amid skepticism

MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index showed a positive performance in the last trading session of the month, closing at 1,376.07 points, up 4.63 points. Market breadth leaned towards the positive, with 16 out of 18 sectors gaining, led by the Industrial Goods and Services group. On the contrary, the Basic Resources and Retail sectors saw slight declines. Foreign investors turned net buyers again on the HSX, while slightly net selling on the HNX. The VN-Index is gradually establishing a new peak zone with average trading volume. The market is trending cautiously upward as tariff deadlines approach and businesses prepare for the Q2/2025 earnings season. The VN-Index may continue to consolidate, awaiting a breakout signal to surpass the previous peak of 1,350 points, aiming toward 1,430 points in the medium term.

• Foreign investors' net buying value: VND 592.09 billion on HOSE, including MSN (VND 149.88 billion), NLG (VND 128.51 billion), DBC (VND 105.27 billion), VND (VND 99.43 billion), MWG (VND 50.48 billion). Foreign investors were net sellers on HNX with the value of VND -37.37 billion.
