BSC Brief | 24.07: The VN-Index rose with struggling

MARKET OUTLOOK
VN-Index continued its tug-of-war trend today and closed at 1,521.02 points, up nearly 9 points compared to yesterday. Market breadth was positive with 12/18 sectors gaining points, of which the Oil & Gas sector led the increase, followed by the Industrial Goods & Services sector. On the contrary, the Media and Basic Resources sectors fell the most. Regarding foreign trading, today this sector sold net on all three exchanges, HSX, HNX and UPCOM. The market is still moving towards the old peak of 1,530 - 1,540 despite the fluctuations. With the bottom-fishing demand being quite good, the index can continue this journey in the coming sessions.

• Pulling the index up: MBB (+1.47), VNM (+1.00), HDB (+0.93), VIC (+0.91), VJC (+0.69).
• Pulling the index down: HPG (-0.70), MSN (-0.45), HVN (-0.40), FPT (-0.24), VHM (-0.19).
• The matched trade value of VN-Index reached VND 34,153 billion, decreased -5.70% compared to the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 36,915 billion.
• The trading range is 22.5 points. The market had 184 gainers, 59 remaining unchanged, 131 losers.
• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -208.34 billion on HOSE, including HPG (VND -388.44 billion), MSN (VND -285.63 billion), VHM (VND -207.18 billion), FPT (VND -109.92 billion), VCB (VND -93.24 billion). Foreign investors were net sellers on HNX with the value of VND -49.87 billion.
