BSC Brief | 06.08: Wide trading range

MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index continued to rise by nearly 27 points today, closing at 1,573.71 points. Market breadth tilted positive with 15 out of 18 sectors gaining, led by the Oil & Gas sector, followed by Retail. Regarding foreign trading, net buying was recorded across all three exchanges. However, the market traded within a wide range with low liquidity during recent rallies, indicating underlying risks. Investors are advised to trade cautiously amid profit-taking pressure, as the index has now closed above its previous peak.

• Pulling the index down: VRE (-0.43), FPT (-0.30), HVN (-0.07), VSH (-0.05), HHS (-0.05).
• The matched trade value of VN-Index reached VND 37,061 billion, decreased -49.16% compared to the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 39,040 billion.
• The trading range is 27.19 points. The market had 247 gainers, 47 remaining unchanged, 78 losers.
• Foreign investors' net buying value: VND 527.94 billion on HOSE, including STB (VND 250.05 billion), MWG (VND 168.58 billion), VIX (VND 138.19 billion), VPB (VND 136.47 billion), VHM (VND 132.46 billion). Foreign investors were net buyers on HNX with the value of VND 214.03 billion.
