BSC Brief | 14.08: Banking sector leads the market today

MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index rose more than 29 points today, closing at 1,640.69. Market breadth was relatively balanced, with 9 out of 18 sectors advancing, led by Insurance, followed by Banking. On the foreign trading side, net selling was recorded across all three exchanges, with notable net sales of over VND 2 trillion on the HSX. The Banking sector acted as the main support for the market today, driven by positive news on the relaxation of the reserve requirement ratio (Circular 23/2025/TT-NHNN). In the short term, the VN-Index may maintain its upward momentum and continue testing new highs.
