BSC Brief | 20.01: The market still has not been able to break above the 1,900 peak

MARKET OUTLOOK
VN-Index spent the whole session fluctuating around the 1,900 level before closing at 1,893.78 points, down nearly 3 points from yesterday. Market breadth leaned negative, with 13 out of 18 sectors declining, led by the steepest drops in Information Technology and Basic Resources. In contrast, Insurance and Oil & Gas posted a positive performance. Foreign investors were net sellers today, offloading more than VND 1.7 trillion on the HOSE. The market continues to show a tug-of-war sentiment below the 1,900 peak; investors should trade cautiously in this period.
