BSC Brief | 27.01: The VN-Index fell below the 20-day SMA

MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index declined amid choppy trading and closed at 1,830.50 points, down more than 13 points from the previous session, mainly due to losses in Vin-related stocks. Advancers outnumbered decliners, with 12 of 18 sectors posting gains; Oil & Gas and Utilities led the rally. On the downside, Real Estate recorded the sharpest decline. Regarding foreign flows, foreign investors were net sellers across all three exchanges—HSX, HNX, and UPCoM—today. The VN-Index has fallen below the neckline of a mini double-top pattern as well as the 20-day SMA. Investors are advised to trade cautiously in the coming sessions.
