BSC Brief | 29.01: The VN-Index rebounded slightly

MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index rose by more than 12 points today, closing at 1,814.98 points, mainly supported by several large-cap stocks. Market breadth was positive, with 14 of 18 sectors advancing; Personal & Household Goods, Chemicals, and Retail posted the strongest gains of over 4%. Regarding foreign flows, foreign investors were net sellers across all three exchanges—HSX, HNX, and UPCoM—today. Today’s rebound lacked broad-based participation, so investors should remain cautious about the possibility that the index may continue to retreat to retest the 50-day SMA.
