BSC Brief | 09.03: VN-Index decreased by nearly 7%

MARKET OUTLOOK
VN-Index dropped sharply right at the opening of the morning session. The index spent almost the entire day fluctuating within the range of 1,650 – 1,675 before closing at 1,652.79 points, down nearly 7% compared to the previous session. Market breadth tilted strongly to the negative side, with all 18/18 sectors declining, of which 16/18 sectors fell by more than 5%. Regarding foreign investor activity, foreigners recorded net selling on HSX and UPCOM, while posting net buying on HNX. In the coming sessions, investors should trade cautiously; in a negative scenario, the VN-Index may decline toward the next support zone of 1,580 – 1,600 points.

• The matched trade value of VN-Index reached VND 38,339 billion, increased 28.08% compared to the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 41,120 billion.
• The trading range is 106.05 points. The market had 11 gainers, 10 remaining unchanged, 366 losers.
• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -372.18 billion on HOSE, including VHM (VND -176.29 billion), FPT (VND -161.41 billion), STB (VND -160.61 billion), PLX (VND -117.31 billion), HPG (VND -84.10 billion). Foreign investors were net buyers on HNX with the value of VND 105.77 billion.
