Detailed report

MARKET OUTLOOK
VN-Index traded in negative territory during the morning session under prevailing selling pressure. However, in the afternoon, emerging buying demand helped the index recover toward the reference level. At the close, VN-Index ended at 1,666.54 points (down 10.26 points). Market breadth tilted to the downside with 11 out of 18 sectors declining, led by sharp corrections in Information Technology and Financial Services. On the other hand, the Oil & Gas sector led gains (+3.27%). Regarding foreign investor activity, they recorded net selling on HSX while posting net buying on both HNX and UPCOM. Although investor sentiment remains cautious, holding the support zone of 1,645–1,660 is a positive signal for the index to target the 1,700–1,725 range in upcoming sessions, despite potential continued volatility.
