BSC Brief | 06.04: Short-term market movements are difficult to predict

MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index continued to decline by more than 9 points today, closing at 1,674.99. Market breadth remained negative, with 15 out of 18 sectors declining, led by sharp losses in Oil & Gas and Insurance, while Industrial Goods & Services recorded a positive session. Regarding foreign investor activity, net selling was observed on the HSX, while net buying occurred on the other two exchanges. The VN-Index is currently retesting the SMA20 support level. Declining liquidity reflects cautious market sentiment amid prevailing uncertainties, and we expect the market to continue trading within a narrow range until clearer signals emerge.

• The matched trade value of VN-Index reached VND 14,528 billion, decreased -23.11% compared to the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 17,914 billion.
• The trading range is 23.72 points. The market had 76 gainers, 55 remaining unchanged, 238 losers.
• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -116.11 billion on HOSE, including TCB (VND -95.15 billion), MBB (VND -94.03 billion), HDB (VND -85.48 billion), MWG (VND -65.26 billion), FPT (VND -60.01 billion). Foreign investors were net buyers on HNX with the value of VND 16.86 billion.
