BSC Brief | 04.05: Capital flows are showing a rotational trend across sectors

MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index surged at the start of the morning session; however, it reversed course after reaching 1,876.80 points and eventually closed at 1,854.06 points, nearly unchanged from the previous session. Vin-related stocks were the primary contributors to the index’s decline. Market breadth was relatively balanced, with 9 out of 18 sectors advancing, led by the Chemicals sector. On the other hand, the Real Estate sector recorded the steepest decline. Regarding foreign flows, investors recorded net selling on HSX and UPCOM, while net buying was observed on HNX. Capital flows are showing a tendency to seek short-term gains driven by Q1 earnings results and business outlooks during the AGM season; investors may consider short-term trading strategies aligned with market fluctuations.

• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -1030.09 billion on HOSE, including ACB (VND -339.85 billion), FPT (VND -313.42 billion), HPG (VND -282.92 billion), VCB (VND -104.55 billion), KDH (VND -94.86 billion). Foreign investors were net buyers on HNX with the value of VND 232.19 billion.
