BSC Brief | 24.06: The VN-Index needs to trade more steadily to form a solid price base.

MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index continued to rise by nearly 9 points today and closed at 1,878.02 points. Decliners outnumbered gainers; however, 12 out of 18 sectors advanced, indicating that liquidity mainly flowed into selected stocks within each sector. The retail, oil & gas, and real estate sectors all increased by more than 1%. In contrast, media was the only sector that declined by more than 1%. Regarding foreign trading, foreign investors recorded net selling across all three exchanges: HSX, HNX, and UPCOM. Two consecutive candlesticks with long upper and lower shadows and wide trading ranges suggest that market sentiment remains largely mixed and indecisive. The VN-Index may need more time to stabilize and form a tighter price base.
