Highlights
• Market sentiment remained positive for the index throughout the session. The rise was narrowed by the division in many groups of stocks.
• The leaders were VCB (+2.37 points), GAS (+2.24 points), VNM (+1.59 points), HDB (+ 0.61 points) and SBT (+0.24 points).
• The laggards were VRE (-1.60 points), SAB (-0.56 points), MSN (-0.42 points), BID (-0.25 points) and CTG (-0.20 points).
• Although Banking sector had a division, it still led the market. In the opposite direction, worries about the increase of world oil output caused Petroleum sector fell deeply.
• The order matching value of VN-Index in this session reached VND 6,403 billion. The trading range for today was 8.33. Market breadth was balance with 147 gainers and 142 losers.
• Ending the trading session today, the VN-Index gained 4.78 points, closing at 1,138.09 points. Along with that, the HNX-Index rose 0.77 points to 130.43 points.
• Foreign investors today were net seller of VND 215.81 billion on the HOSE, concentrated on VNM (VND 102.97 billion), HDB (VND 98.53 billion) and DHG (VND 60.9 billion). In addition, they sold a net of VND 15.65 billion on the HNX.
 

Market Outlook
Following the excitement from yesterday, market trading was positive with the presence of green on all three indexes. Market liquidity improved comparing to previous sessions, showing caution being removed. Banking sector continued to maintain the upward momentum. In the opposite direction, market was under corrected pressure of large cap stocks such as VIC, VRE and CTD. In addition, the division still occured in many groups of stocks, leading to the narrow of increase momentum. BSC believed that the opportunities still remain in many stocks when VN-Index continues to conquer the historical peak of 1,170 points.
