Market outlook
The VN-Index was unable to break through the 1,255 – 1,260 range today and retreated, closing at 1,239.26 points, down more than 12 points from previous session. Market breadth leaned heavily negative with 17 out of 18 sectors declining, led by Oil & Gas, Utilities, and Real Estate. On the other hand, the Chemicals sector was the only one with positive trading today. In terms of foreign transactions, foreign investors were net buyers on both the HSX and HNX exchanges. The VN-Index lost the 1,250 support level today. In the upcoming sessions, the index may trade within the 1,230 – 1,240 range.
