Stock market: The market today continued to experience a struggling session between buyers and sellers when the VN-Index continuously shook in the range of 1390-1400. However, at the end of the afternoon session, the market suddenly sold-off causing VN-Index to lose more than 18 points before being pulled up by buyers. At the end of the session, VN-Index closed down 0.11%. In general, the market today was quite negative with 13 out of 19 sectors dropping and the market breadth continued to turn negative with an overwhelming number of losers. Regarding the transactions of foreign investors, today they sold more than 1,000 billion VND on the HSX. Today session also showed that the market demand at 1380 points was quite large. Futures contract expiration tomorrow could witness a volatile session after the market has accumulated for a long time.

 

Future contracts: All Futures contracts were corrected slightly according to the underlying index. Investors should trade cautiously in the tomorrow maturity session.

 

Covered warrants: In the trading session on October 20, 2021, warrants are decreasing in price when the market corrects. Transaction value increased slightly

• VN-Index -1.53 points, closed at 1,393.80 points. HNX-Index +1.29 points, closing 388.29 points.

• The index pulled up: MSN (+0.65), TCB (+0.46), OCB (+0.41), VRE (+0.40), PDR (+0.38).

• Pulling the index down: VCB (-1.32), VHM (-0.68), SAB (-0.54), CTG (-0.37), HPG (-0.34).

• The matching value of VN-Index reached VND 22,203 billion, up 20.4% compared to the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 23,780 billion.

• The fluctuation range is 26 points. The market had 180 advancers, 60 reference stocks and 242 losers.

• Foreign net selling value: VND -1,364.74 billion on HOSE, including HPG (-358.78 billion), NLG (-253.11 billion), VIC (-128.35 billion). Foreign investors were net sellers on HNX with the value of VND -34.89 billion.
