Stock market: After the expiration session with strong volatility yesterday, the stock market entered today's session with positive movements. Just opening the morning session, many investors took advantage of catching the bottom, pulling the VN-Index to recover. However, profit-taking pressure appeared at high price areas, making VN-Index unable to surpass the threshold of 1400 points. After a struggling session, the VN-Index closed with a slight increase of 4 points. Market breadth today was balanced as the number of advancers was just 1 more than the number of losers; The market has 10/19 rising industries, notably Construction and Materials. It can be said that at present, investor sentiment is still hesitant, the market is likely to continue maintaining the accumulation trend in the next few sessions. Regarding the transactions of foreign investors, today they were net sellers on both HSX and HNX.

 

Future contracts: Except for futures contract VN30F2111, all other futures contracts corrected slightly according to the underlying index. Investors can look to buy short-term futures contracts.

 

Covered warrants: In the trading session on October 22, 2021, warrants had strong bearish signals when the market increased slightly. Transaction value increased slightly by 5.89%.

• Pulling the index up: GVR (+1.27), VIC (+0.79), SAB (+0.77), VNM (+0.77), NVL (+0.50).

• Pulling the index down: HPG (-0.57), TCB (-0.53), VPB (-0.40), BID (-0.21), PLX (-0.19).

• The matching value of VN-Index reached VND 19,885 billion, down 0.5% compared to the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 21,561 billion.

• The fluctuation range is 8.6 points. The market had 217 gainers, 51 reference stocks and 216 losers.

• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -210.48 billion on HOSE, including NLG (VND -144.03 billion), PAN (VND -97.72 billion), DPM (VND -65.31 billion). Foreign investors were net sellers on HNX with the value of VND -23.11 billion.
